Inlet
A housing platform for college students. I ran into the problem in my own housing search, then designed it, built it and shipped it.

180+registered accounts
Fair renta listing's rent next to its building's market median
.eduoptional school verification that adds a badge and lifts ranking
The problem
Student subleases live in group chats and scattered posts. It is hard to tell whether a price is fair or whether the person posting is a real student.
A decision I made
School email is optional. Anyone can browse and post; verifying a school email adds a badge and lifts the listing in ranking. Posting stays easy, and trust is still rewarded.
What I built
- A sublease board with search, filters, and list and map views.
- Wanted posts, where students post the dates and budget they need.
- Roommate matching, with profile cards, requests and messages.
- The fair-rent check, which compares a listing's rent with its building's market median, using per-bed rent from public floor-plan data where it exists.
- School-email badges that feed ranking.
- Unit tests with Vitest and browser tests with Playwright; every change goes to a dev build before production.
